I’m going to Osaka, Japan around the end of July.
I’m planning to buy an iPad from the Apple store in Osaka.
The question is, will they have iPads in stock when I get there or can I reserve one?
Thanks.
Can I pick up an iPad in Japan without waiting?

Pretty much everywhere is sold out. I just got mine two days ago at an electronics store in Kobe at the sannnomiya train station that actually had a pretty good stock. I presume you’re buying a wifi model? If so, I’d call in ahead of time and see if they have them…
Also, I’m not sure which country you’re from, but if you’re from the states, particularly given the state of the yen vs the dollar right now, you’ll save a bunch of money by just buying it there.
Impossible.
Japanese people will wait 5 hours in line for a Krispie Kreme donut.
I would totally recommend for you to buy it here in the US…only because the myth that electronics are "cheaper" in Japan is not true. They’re waaaayyy more expensive and it’s better if you just wait or else you will buy it at a much expensive price… Also if you’re thaaat desperate wait until you go to Tokyo in Akihabara, there’s a huge electronic store..(forgot the name) but everything is there… albeit a bit more expensive but… it’s better there…
Oh! and the yen is more than the dollar. The Dollar is worth crap over there.. and they won’t take it. You’ll have to exchange it or withdraw money at the 7/11 convenient stores…
